Penguins in Paris

Bon Jour! It's me, Fashion Spaz, reporting from Paris. From the haute igloo and stylish snow creatures at Chanel (below) to the Puffle bags at Dior and Giles, Club Penguin ruled the runway this week!

First there were puffer jackets; now we have puffle purses! Both Dior (left) and Giles sent puffles down the runway (we obvs like the Giles version best)

Puff it up! Puffle headpieces at Sonia Rykiel (left) and Puffle hair at Karl Lagerfeld.

Gaultier for Target - that's so last week. Now it's all about Gaultier for Penguin!

The baseball jackets at Isabel Marant look familiar!

Hi again!! It's me, Big beak22, and today we have a mix of interesting fashions. Well, waddle on in!!!

In honor of the Olympics, we took this fashionable skater, and turned him into a bird. This could be taken as an insult, but we (FashionSpaz & Me) think that the pair deserves gold!!!! :)

Ok - you have to admit this is kinda funny. Left is Giles Deacon preparing for his fall 2010 show (to be seen in Paris this week) and that odd creature he is holding looks alarmingly like...yes, you guessed it... a puffle... (CP COULD BE TRENDSETTERS!!!) Anyway, on right is Giles Penguin, holding same puffle. They look alike too. Could they be- No!- LONG LOST TWINS?!?!?!?! Ha, ha, moving on...

It looks as if Pineapple Penguin is living up to his name - HE'S IRRESISTIBLE! Ha ha ha. Fashion photographer Bruce Weber might not be too keen to be depicted in penguin-ness. But if the Mukluk fits...

Ahh... :( A SAD TALE. ∞ THE ONE FASHION DON'T OF THE DAY ∞ For her own good, we blocked out her eyes like most sane fashion magazines that have fashion-don'ts (which is not that many), and we've obscured her name so if she ever comes across this article, she won't be deeply offended or sue-ish. If she sues... NO MORE ORNITHOLOGIST :( Anyway, more about the outfit:

EW. Not Entertainment Weekly, ew!!! The dress makes the penguin 10 times chubbier than she should be. SHE DOESN'T HAVE SHOES ON!!!!! Her hair is useless, due to the fact that she has (which you cannot see) no eye accessories to accompany it. Her face looks pitifully bare and the hair is a suspect on the scene of the fashion crime. Chubby looking dress, no shoes, and hair accused of crookery when worn alone because of pitiful bare looking face. EW.

And here are some fashion do's! These are quite the cute couple!!! Her bronze necklace matches perfectly with her neutral skin tone, glasses, and hair. Her Penguin Band hoodie doesn't exactly have a purpose - it's just a cute touch, and the sneakers blend in with the hot background, while the background matches her pin. His dreadlocks fit right in with the surfer guy theme (note the brightly colored wakeboard in hand) His necklace is no doubt the finest sea glass, again matching the theme. His sweatshirt is masculine, but cool, and his sneakers match his darkly tanned skin tone and sweatshirt, while not blending in too much to make it boring, but giving off a surprising red.

Hi guys- it seems the penguins are taking a lot of fashion inspiration from the runways...or is it the other way around?!

Hmm... look familiar? :) Anna Sui's arctic duds are perfect penguin-wear!

Cool jacket from Cynthia Rowley... does it remind you of anything?

House of Holland's models were all rocking a side pony tail...so are lots of penguins. And I love how 'ze penguin shields her face from 'ze world. Why am I talking like an accented French person? I am perplexed.

Like runway, like penguin. Or like Zorro, like raccoon. Sorry Betsy Johnson, but Zorro is SO late '90s.

Puffle is the New Black

Today the looks are inspired by those adorable little fluffy Club Penguin creatures: puffles.

Puffles inspire many penguins to create puffalicious fashion looks. And I think they even inspired this hair look from the DKNY fall 2010 runway show (as seen on the non-penguin below.)

Here are some of my other favorite puffle looks:

Wow, Florasbro is puffled out! The background and the hat and the jacket!!!! Hmm, I wonder if he likes puffles? :) He makes a statement for puffles everywhere! :)

Jay Z? Looks more like Puffle Daddy! (ba dum bum). Love his puffle inspired get-up. The puffle in hand is a good touch because it shows that he's not just pretending, but he really does care about his puffles. The hat is a nice break from all that color, and it matches the shoes too.

Did Pushpin get inspired by Ralph Lauren's workwear collection for spring 2010? Glad somebody did. Snap! The hat rocks (I could see snowboarder Shaun White wearing this) and it is a free item at the on-going Puffle Party happening from the 19th to the 25th of February.

Hi guys, today we will be focusing on runway fashion - the Club Penguin way... watch as we transform some of your favorite spring runway looks -- hope you like it, here we go...

These are Louis Vuitton's "Afro" models. Note the bunny slippers are used for the shoes that the model is wearing. We happened to be at the Vuitton store last Wednesday! We saw these models, but they looked quite ugly because it was a bad screen that made them look short and squat. Anyway, those dresses are like $4,000 bucks!!! So my friends and I were touching everything, and the salesman comes up to us and says," You know, we have a policy. You have to buy everything you touch!" and we were freaking out. Glad it was a joke.

Cool, right? Alexander Wang's spring collection features this look - jerseys and long side braids. My penguin's got style! The flipper/foot item on my penguin is the Alexander Wang leather buckle boot, from fall 2009 ( Mom's signature boot!)

A punk rock woman with some dude named Eddie Borgo I saw in Teen Vogue. I dunno. And BTW, is it just me, or does my penguin look like Pink at the Grammys? Borgo makes the bracelets that my penguin and her muse are wearing. Apparently, it's his trademark.

Polar Premiere

Hi Guys! I love the color purple ( not the Broadway show, the color!!!) so I'll probably be writing in this color a lot!!! Anyway, I noticed some kinda cute penguins while style spotting. The first one is me, so that you know who I am, and the rest are buddies or random penguins. Okay, I won't delay you any longer! Here they are:

This is my penguin, just so you know!

This heroic Fashionista gave a perfect blend of sportiness and cuteness,

as the hat not only matched, but gave it a fashionable touch!

The fact that he wears this outfit constantly isn't as bad because he has a perfect reason to do so: it's CUTE! The vest matches with the orange of his hair and shoes, and the glasses are a nice accessory! And even if you weren't paying this much attention, the vest shows his pride for Club Penguin, and the pin adds a sporty touch. Nice!

This is a rocker cutie. The Penguin Band hoodie is adorable, along with the fact that the VIP pass gives the illusion that she's in the band: Who doesn't want the star treatment? Plus, who can resist the Flutterby (hair style), diva sunglasses, boots, America pin, and splatter-painted background all at once? Not me, that's for sure!

Ah yes, Cat Flower. The hair was quite a risk, but I think the scarf helped her pull it off. You see, the scarf is hanging in the same shape as the hair is, so it makes it match. Another hypothesis is that the calm background helped set the mood, so that the hair wouldn't stand out in a bad way. Also, any way you wear it, the puffle jacket's cute, so that was pleasing to the eye.

Hmm... This could be the most fashionable of them all. The fact that he is not self-conscious and able to wear this freely is a fashion of its own. Clothes aren't the only part of a fashionable person. The second part is attitude (i.e, "Who Wore It Better?"). Actually, that's a perfect example. A pretty girl wore a dress, wore it with the right accesories and make-up, and wore it with a smile on her face and a friendly helping hand. A prettier girl wore a dress, wore it with the right accesories and make-up, and wore it with a scowl on her face, sulking everywhere and being quite rude to everyone who got in her way. "Who Wore It Better?" Obviously most people would pick the less pretty girl. Even though the other girl was prettier, and wore the dress the same way, her attitude stunk, and so she loses. This penguin's got the nerve to wear this without fear, where another penguin would be terrified of anyone seeing her, and which is better? I think you know :)
